About the venue

Built in 1832, styled on a French château

The K Club stands on a 550-acre estate in Straffan, Co. Kildare. Straffan House dates from 1832, when Hugh Barton began work on it. Its design was based on a château at Louveciennes, near Paris. The house is now the hotel's East Wing. The hotel has a mansard roof, a campanile tower and original stucco ceilings.

Couples can marry outdoors, on a garden aisle to the Val d'Osne Fountain. Indoors, they can choose the Inis Mór room or the original 19th-century library. The Legacy Suite is the dedicated wedding ballroom for 120 to 300 guests, with a terrace over the lake. For a smaller party, the Palmer Room takes 100 guests and has its own bar.
