What data Jamie collects
- The enquiry form: your first name, last name, email address and phone number. Also the event type, date, start time and location. Also the approximate guest count, how you heard about Jamie and the event details you write. Studio Ninja runs the form. Its own privacy policy explains the technical data it logs when you use the form.
- Messages: when you email, call, text or WhatsApp Jamie, he gets your name, your email address or phone number, and what you write.
- Bookings: the details Jamie needs for the event: names, contact details, venue, timings, the agreed package and price, invoices and payment records.
- Business contacts: for wedding planners, venues and other event businesses, a name, job title, business email address, business phone number and company name.
- Website use: Vercel Analytics counts page views without cookies. If you accept analytics cookies, PostHog also records how you use the pages, under a random id. PostHog hides form fields in these recordings and cannot see the enquiry form. The cookie policy lists each cookie and how long it lasts.
Why Jamie uses it, and the legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, check his availability and send a quote. Basis: steps you ask for before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To plan and run Jamie's part of your event, and to send invoices. Basis: the contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
- To keep accounts and tax records. Basis: a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
- To contact wedding planners, venues and other event businesses about working together. Basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Jamie's interest is to tell event businesses about his services. He uses business contact details only, writes only about that business, and stops when you object.
- To count visits with PostHog and improve the site. Basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you give in the cookie banner.
- To count page views with Vercel Analytics, which uses no cookies. Basis: legitimate interests, because Jamie needs to know which pages people use.
Jamie does not sell your data. He does not use it for automated decisions or profiling.

Jamie uses these services to run his business. Each one uses your data only to give Jamie its service.
- Studio Ninja(Studio Ninja Pty Ltd, Australia) runs the enquiry form and Jamie's client records. Its policy says most of its data processors are in Australia, so your enquiry data can leave the European Economic Area (EEA). Its policy also explains the safeguards it uses for these transfers. Jamie shares data with Revenue or another public body only when the law requires it.
When a service stores data outside the EEA, Jamie relies on a legal safeguard for the transfer. Examples are an EU adequacy decision, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Email Jamie for details.
How long Jamie keeps it
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: deleted within 24 months of the last contact.
- Booking records, invoices and payment records: kept for 6 years, because Revenue requires business records to be kept for six years.
- Emails and WhatsApp messages: kept as long as the enquiry or booking they belong to.
- Business contacts: kept while you work with Jamie. Deleted within 24 months of the last contact if you do not reply. If you object, Jamie keeps only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so he does not contact you again.
- Analytics data: kept for no more than 24 months.
